This past weekend I was in New York City for Bookexpo America! Actually, I went to their uPublishU conference, which was a full day conference within the expo. And it was fantastic! I’ve been to two self-publishing conferences this year, and this BEA was the best! Tons and tons of updated information and resources that one can begin using right on the spot. I love that! And as of today, I’m still working my way through the information that I bought back home with me.
However, before I went to the conference, I spent the previous evening at a Broadway show – Newsies to be exact. And before the show, I went to dinner right above the theatre. Out of the window, I noticed a very grand looking building, almost palatial with a green roof. When I inquired what it was I was told that it was the original New York Times building, that’s being used for something else now.
I couldn’t help but make this connection: New York Times building – in New York, Times Square to see Newsies. There was literary, literary, literary all around. And by the way, the show was GREAT! 😉
