Yesterday was the National Day of Prayer in the United States. It comes each year on the first Thursday of May since 1952 when it was enacted under President Truman.
I must say, with the recent bombings, shootings, earthquakes, and wild fires – along with the blatant disobedience to God’s Word by mankind wanting to redefine marriage. Marriage between a man and a woman is God’s idea, He defined it – do we think that He made a mistake? And now the country wants to enable young girls as young as 15 years old to be given the option to take the “morning after pill” as a form of birth control — IS THERE ANY DOUBT IN ANYONE’S MIND THAT THIS COUNTRY NEEDS PRAYER??
We, as Believers in Christ, should always stay on our knees knowing that God hears and answers our prayers.
I don’t believe that it will be much longer when we can pray, as Christians, to Jesus Christ in public before we’re asked to do so in private. Jesus said that the world hated Him and they will hate us also – John 15.
But since I reside in the most powerful city in the nation – I figured that I’d go here and pray to the Lord Jesus in public –
And then I went here to pray for our nation, leaders, the hearts of mankind and other matters – in public –
Pray to the Lord as often as you can. He hears prayer, and prayer changes things.
Be encouraged!
