“Faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.”
James 2:17 NKJV
We’ve all seen the devastation of the recent tornado in Moore, Oklahoma (outside of Oklahoma City). Homes, churches and buildings that used to be standing tall now look like giant wooden match sticks. How does one recover from such tremendous lost? Definitely by their own faith, the prayers of others AND donations.
It’s going to take billions of dollars to help the people who were affected by this massive tornado. Don’t have billions of dollars?? Well, I’m sure that we all have at least $10 to give. Consider skipping a couple of lattes this week to help out someone who may not be able to help themselves at this time.
Organizations like the American Red Cross, Samaritan’s Purse and the United Way are a few that are collecting money to help get Moore back on its feet. Giving is easy, and Jesus told us in Matthew 25 that whatever we’ve done for the least of our brethren, we’ve done it to Him. “For I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.”
Your prayers are most definitely needed and so are your donations.
