“You are my hiding place and my shield; I hope in Your word.”
Psalm 119:114 NKJV
Somewhere in your lifetime, you’re going to have to put your trust in God when everything around you looks hopeless. And when that happens, it will be easy to get nervous, uptight and anxious – wondering where is God in your state of calamity. I once heard someone say that you have to trust God even when you can’t trace Him (next week’s post). Someone else recently said that God is rarely ever early, but He’s never late! He’s always on time!!
You may be thinking, but He is late. If He would have shown up on time then I wouldn’t be going through all that I’m facing now. The truth of the matter is that God is not governed by time like we are. He sees the end from the beginning and just know that if you belong to Him, then He has already ordered your steps. If you’re going through some difficult times, and especially if it seems like everything that can go wrong, has – then I’d strongly encourage you to read the book of Job and see how things unfolded for him (and we’ll talk more about him in the upcoming posts). Job epitomizes someone whose world fell apart, yet His faith in the Lord was unshakable.
David said in the above scripture, that God was his hiding place (do you feel like you need somewhere to hide from your problems?) Go to God. And he said that God was his shield (his defense and protection). Lastly, he said that his hope was in God’s Word. Trust me, everything that could ever concern you is already written about in God’s Word (the Bible).
I once bought a picture for my home that read, “Keep Calm and Trust God” – but I ended up giving it away to someone who was going through a lot more than I was.
Stay tuned for more, but in the meantime –

This is the perfect site for anybody who really wants
to understand this topic. You realize a whole lot its almost tough to
argue with you (not that I personally would want to…HaHa).
You certainly put a brand new spin on a subject which has been
written about for years. Excellent stuff, just great!
