“My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, 3 knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. 4 But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.”
James 1:2-4 NKJV
Count it all joy if you’re going through anything that is testing your faith! I know because I’m speaking from past and VERY current experience — count it all joy!
I know it’s difficult to look at your situation and ask yourself, “Why on earth should I be happy or find joy in what I’m going through?” You’re probably also asking yourself and God, “When will it end?” But the truth of the matter is, if you weren’t going through anything then you’re not growing. And if you’re not growing in your faith, then it’s stunted. Who needs to use their faith when everything is fine and dandy? And we know that the process is no quickie, else James would not have needed to say that the testing of your faith will produce PATIENCE…
Your going through something MUST mean that God has a blessing in store for you, and He needs to get you to a higher level in your faith walk in order to receive it!!
You’re coming out of this valley. There is not ONE Biblical example of someone not coming out of a valley, much better off than when he/she went into it. Oh what joy!!!
