The 44th annual Congressional Black Caucus (CBC) Annual Legislative Conference is almost here — actually it starts this evening! The conference has been affectionately dubbed “CBC Weekend”. This is a really big event that happens in our nation’s capital every year and draws people from all across the country, along with Members of Congress, to talk about things ranging from healthcare, equal opportunities, legislation and many other issues that are of concern in the United States for people of color. On the lighter side of things, there are book signings, receptions, book signings, a gospel concert, a prayer breakfast — and, did I say book signings already? 🙂
I’m so excited that I’ll be signing copies of my last three book titles (Jazz, Java & Jesus; Inspired to Move Forward and Good News In a Bad News World) in the author’s pavilion at the Washington DC Convention Center tomorrow, Thursday, September 25th from noon until 2pm!!
The event is free and opened to the public, and books can be purchased from Barnes & Noble Howard University, who will be on-site.
If you’re in the Washington, DC area — come out and join in the festivities! #CBCALC2014
